From A Legacy of Learning and Entrepreneurship, We're Creating A New Vision for What Education Can Become

The Beginning

1992

The story of the FeelWell Educational Model at Betty's Preschool Academy did not begin with a building, a curriculum, a magazine, or a business plan.

It began with a woman who wanted more for the children in her community.

In 1992, Betty’s Learning Center was founded with a deeply personal mission: to strengthen the academic foundation of children who deserved greater support, greater confidence, and greater opportunity. The founder wanted students to read better, write better, understand mathematics more fully, and believe they were capable of becoming more.

The work was never only about completing assignments.

It was about helping children develop the skills, discipline, and belief necessary to move forward in life.

What began as a learning center gradually became something larger. The need within the community continued to grow, and so did the vision.

Around 2011, the founder and her daughters expanded that original vision by establishing a private school for students who needed a more personal, intentional, and supportive educational environment.

This next chapter became Betty’s Preschool Academy.

Although the institution carries “Preschool” in its official name, Betty’s Preschool Academy has evolved into a K–12 institution. For nearly a decade, its capacity and vision have extended far beyond early-childhood education.

The heart of the work, however, has remained the same:

To create greater possibilities for children.

To strengthen families.

To provide students with an educational foundation capable of changing the direction of their lives.

Today, Betty’s Preschool Academy is entering another season of evolution—one that honors its history while responding courageously to the world children are now preparing to inherit.

The Evolution

2022

In December 2022, FeelWell Magazine was launched as a media platform focused on the mind, body, business, and lives of high-achieving leaders.

What began as a magazine continued to evolve into the broader FeelWell™ brand—an ecosystem centered on four enduring pillars:

Wealth
The capacity to create value, opportunity, and economic possibility.

Energy
The capacity to sustain physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Longevity
The capacity to steward one’s health, environment, future, and quality of life.

Leadership
The capacity to influence, communicate, serve, and create meaningful change.

FeelWell™ initially developed with a strong emphasis on women’s leadership, women entrepreneurs, health, wellness, business development, media, and influence. Yet entrepreneurship and education have always been deeply connected to the vision.

Years earlier, Quadeera Teart, founder of FeelWell™ also developed and delivered entrepreneurship education for teenagers in partnership with Miami Dade College, teaching young people how to think creatively, develop business ideas, understand opportunity, and begin building something of their own.

That experience reinforced a powerful truth:

Children should not have to wait until adulthood to learn how value is created, how ideas become opportunities, how leadership is developed, or how to build access when access is not readily given.

The FeelWell™ Educational Model represents the meeting of two legacies:

The community-centered educational foundation of Betty’s Preschool Academy.

And the wellness, entrepreneurship, leadership, media, and human-capacity philosophy of the FeelWell™ brand.

Together, they form a new educational vision designed for the world children are entering—not only the world previous generations knew.

The world is moving rapidly.

Technology is changing how people learn, work, communicate, build businesses, solve problems, and participate in the global economy. Traditional academic subjects remain essential, but children also need confidence, adaptability, self-awareness, communication skills, financial understanding, wellness practices, ethical judgment, creativity, and the ability to lead.

The FeelWell™ Educational Model was created to develop those capacities intentionally.

Why the FeelWell™ Educational Model Exists

Now

We Are Building Something Richer

We believe children deserve a richer education.

A richer foundation.

Richer opportunities.

Richer exposure to the world, their communities, their gifts, and the possibilities available to them.

That means helping students understand more than what they are expected to memorize.

It means helping them understand:

  • Who they are

  • How they learn

  • What they are naturally capable of

  • How their gifts can be developed

  • How to communicate their ideas

  • How to create solutions

  • How to build opportunities

  • How to recognize and create access

  • How to make ethical decisions

  • How to care for their physical and emotional well-being

  • How to lead themselves before attempting to lead others

  • How to chart a meaningful path through an ever-evolving world

We want students to know that their future is not limited only to what someone else is willing to offer them.

They can learn how to create.

They can learn how to solve.

They can learn how to build.

They can learn how to serve.

They can learn how to open doors for themselves and others.

The FeelWell™ Educational Model is designed to prepare students to participate confidently in a world that is increasingly global, connected, competitive, and complex.

Our vision includes developing students in:

Global Entrepreneurship
Understanding how ideas, innovation, service, technology, and problem-solving create value across communities and industries.

Global Leadership
Learning how to communicate, collaborate, serve, make responsible decisions, and influence positive outcomes.

Global Problem-Solving
Developing the ability to think critically, analyze challenges, create solutions, and adapt when circumstances change.

Global Wellness
Understanding that health, emotional regulation, nutrition, movement, environment, relationships, and long-term well-being all affect a person’s capacity to learn, lead, and thrive.

Students should not only be prepared to compete academically.

They should be prepared to contribute meaningfully.

Preparing Students for A Global World

Character Still Matters

Innovation without character is incomplete.

Achievement without integrity is unstable.

Influence without responsibility can become harmful.

The FeelWell™ Educational Model therefore places strong value on moral and ethical development.

Students are encouraged to understand that the way they treat people, honor their commitments, communicate, make decisions, and conduct themselves will shape both their opportunities and their impact.

We want children to develop values that make them shine for the right reasons.

Not merely because they are visible.

But because they are trustworthy.

Not merely because they are talented.

But because they are disciplined.

Not merely because they can lead.

But because they understand that leadership is rooted in service, integrity, responsibility, and respect.

A child’s development does not occur in isolation.

Students are shaped by their families, educators, communities, environments, relationships, opportunities, and experiences. For that reason, the FeelWell™ Educational Model is designed as a whole-child, whole-family educational experience.

We are not only interested in what a child knows.

We are interested in who the child is becoming—and in whether the family surrounding that child is also being strengthened, supported, and positioned for greater opportunity.

Through parent learning programs, wellness education, career-development resources, entrepreneurial pathways, and strategic partnerships with coaches, educators, health and wellness institutions, and community professionals, families gain access to experiences that can expand both personal and professional possibilities.

Our vision is to create an environment where children grow academically while strengthening their confidence, wellness, character, creativity, leadership, and ability to navigate life—and where parents are also encouraged to pursue greater health, career mobility, entrepreneurship, and long-term family prosperity.

This is more than a student experience.

It is an opportunity to strengthen the entire family unit so that a richer legacy can be created, supported, and sustained across generations.

A Whole Child, Whole Family Vision

Why Our Program

Betty’s Preschool Academy is where this next chapter begins because the institution already carries a legacy of community-centered education.

The FeelWell™ Educational Model is not being placed into a school with no history.

It is being developed within an institution founded by people who have spent decades believing that children deserve more.

The original founder wanted children to read better, write better, understand mathematics, and become better prepared for life.

Her daughters continued that work by expanding the learning center into a private school.

Today, the next generation is building upon that foundation by introducing a broader educational model designed to prepare students for academic achievement, wellness, entrepreneurship, leadership, creativity, ethical decision-making, and real-world readiness.

This is not a rejection of what came before.

It is the next expression of it.

We are building toward an educational environment where students are not passive recipients of information.

They are thinkers.

Creators.

Communicators.

Problem-solvers.

Future entrepreneurs.

Future professionals.

Future community leaders.

Future global citizens.

We envision students learning inside and outside of the classroom through academic instruction, real-world projects, wellness education, business creation, public speaking, community partnerships, technology, creative expression, service, and direct exposure to professionals across industries.

We envision families participating as educational partners.

We envision community experts contributing their knowledge.

We envision students becoming more aware of themselves, more confident in their abilities, and more prepared to create meaningful lives.

Most importantly, we envision children understanding that possibility is not something reserved for other people.

Possibility can belong to them, too.
